Chapter 18 Spanish and Korean Screens — Switching Languages

The question Grandma reads Spanish, our son reads English, and an uncle reads Korean. Can we look at the same thing?

The answer Yes. The EN · ES · 한국어 buttons at the top switch the language. The screens keep the same layout, the same nine numbered tabs and the same engine. Two things differ: the Spanish screens are still being reviewed, and the Assets & Estate menu depends on the language — the English screens apply US federal rules, while the Korean screens calculate Korean taxes for a household living in Korea.

Language switching does not make estate-tax results interchangeable. The retirement-plan tabs share an engine, but the Assets & Estate screens do not necessarily apply the same tax law across languages. Do not compare estate-tax amounts across language screens without confirming the governing country and assumptions.

18.0 In one line Same tabs, same engine, different words — but Assets & Estate follows the country of the screen.
