Chapter 3 Building the Family Plan — The Six Boxes of "Type it in"

The question How do I put our family into the site? Which boxes matter, and what if I don't know a number?

The answer "Type it in" has six boxes: Family, Our household balance sheet, Pensions & income, Money going out, Monthly spending target, and State income tax. Fill them from top to bottom and leave blank what you don't know. The site does not force averages into empty boxes. If a value is essential, it asks; if not, it lists the gap under "Left out of the calculation" in your results.

3.0 In one line Family → what you own and owe → money coming in → money going out → your target → taxes. Leave blank what you don't know.

The full chapter is in the book. The web shows only each chapter's question, answer and one-line summary.
