What we receive
- What you type or say to describe your household (birth year, residence, asset and pension amounts, etc.).
- The design does not collect names, Social Security or other government ID numbers, account numbers, addresses or phone numbers. If they slip into input they are masked before going to an external AI, and refused if they cannot be masked.
What we do not store
- Household input is not written to server disks or a database. It lives only in your browser and server process memory. Refreshing clears it.
- The report (PDF) is made in your browser and saved on your device; it is not uploaded.
Documents
- Your document file is deleted as soon as it is read, and there is a delete button.
- File names and contents are not logged. Extracted text is deleted once you finish confirming.
Use of external AI services
- What is sent: Text you enter in ‘AI dictation’ goes to Anthropic Claude, and questions you type into this guide chat go to Google Gemini (paid service). Calculations are done by our own engine, not by an external AI. Values you enter by hand are not sent outside.
- Masking and caution: Anything that looks like an email, phone number, address, account or ID number is masked automatically, but only for set patterns, so masking is not complete. Please do not write names, addresses or numbers. Amounts, years, pension types and countries are not masked and are sent as written.
- What we keep: We do not separately store the original text (a masked copy is kept for 30 days only if you opt in), and for accuracy checks we record only hashes and counts, never the values, for 90 days.
- Provider policies: Anthropic states that API inputs are not used to train models and are generally kept up to 30 days for safety checks (longer if flagged for a policy review or required by law). Google states that paid Gemini API inputs and responses are not used to improve its products and are logged for a limited time for abuse monitoring (up to 55 days by default). These are the providers’ policies, which we cannot change.
- AI cross-check: Only when you open the “AI cross-check” box under a result, a summary of the numbers used in that tab (age band, country of residence, currency, amounts rounded to 3 significant digits, assumption values and engine result values) is sent to an external AI service (Anthropic Claude). Names, addresses, accounts and the original text you typed are not sent. The answer is kept only in server memory for a limited time (up to 7 days; it disappears when the server restarts) and is not written to disk. Usage records keep only counts of matched / re-check / not-checked items, never amounts or the AI’s explanation. The check is a reference-only independent estimate; the engine calculation and the law always take precedence.
- This is not investment advice. Values read by AI can be wrong, so they are used in a calculation only after you check and edit them.
Access logs
- This site's dedicated access log keeps time, method, path (without query), status, bytes and latency, plus the browser type string (User-Agent, first 100 characters) and the referring site's domain only (no path or query). It keeps no IP, user identity, body or query string.
- Retention: system log 7 days, web-server log 14 days.
